OSP IT facilitates research administration at UVA by implementing, recommending, and reviewing software, hardware, and system technologies and benchmarking them to industry standards. We also monitor and ensure data integrity to achieve shared understanding and enable reporting across diverse platforms as well as collaborating to achieve a data-informed research enterprise that furthers UVA’s pursuit of research preeminence.
Our activities include institutional reporting, Helpdesk support, RUVA and Workday configuration, data management, sponsor vetting, system security request support, data dashboards, and more.
We possess a range of backgrounds and expertise, including Tableau, python, SQL, C#, web development, database management, networking management, functional research, and audit.
RUVA
ResearchUVA (RUVA) is the electronic research administration (ERA) platform used at UVA. RUVA is currently used for proposal and agreement development and submission, activation, and non-financial management. It is also the destination for completing Conflict of Interest (COI) disclosure requirements.
