Your Satisfaction Is Our Top Priority

OSP manages a large, ever-increasing portfolio of sponsored projects for all units across UVA and may require a few days to get back to you.

If you have a time-sensitive issue, we invite you to escalate your request. Contact information for Senior Administrators and Senior Accountants, Associate Directors and Directors, and the Executive Director are available on the Contact OSP page.

We'd love to hear about excellent service you've received and suggestions for improvement. You can submit your thoughts via our short feedback survey (link opens in a new tab).

Additional Resources for Researchers

Below are some key resources available in other units for new and experienced researchers alike.

New to UVA

The Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) is responsible for the integration and enhancement of research activities across UVA’s twelve schools and multiple research institutes and centers. See their website for general information, required forms and training, and other resources for researchers who are new to UVA.

OVPR Programs and Services

UVA’s Research Development is a strategic resource for faculty pursuing external funding for large, collaborative projects. The team also manages the university’s selection process for limited submission opportunities and provides research intelligence to inform decisions relevant to the research enterprise.

OVPR Research Compliance & Training provides information and resources to navigate the complex methodological, ethical, and regulatory challenges of today's research landscape.

The Human Research Protection Program advocates for human subjects in research by working in concert with UVA researchers to ensure that they have the education and tools they need to work ethically with participants in their research studies.

The Animal Care & Use Program is responsible for ensuring that animal research is conducted in the most humane manner possible and in full compliance with all relevant regulations and policies, including those governing the use of controlled substances in research.

The Office of Research Security oversees and monitors compliance with export controls, the University of Virginia National Security Program, research data compliance, and research regulations.
