Starting December 3, OSP will be working with Huron to upgrade our system-to-system package to the new NIH Forms-I, required for proposals due on or after January 25, 2025. Based on the timeline provided by Huron, the new forms will be available in ResearchUVA (RUVA) to the community at the beginning of January.
The Forms-I changes are outlined in NIH’s High-level Grant Application Form Change Summary. The changes primarily impact training and fellowship applications, including the training data tables. For the UVA research community, no action is required at this time.
We will update you in December with a final date for the Huron upgrade and how long the system will be unavailable for use. We strongly encourage users to plan for the January 25th and February 5th NIH deadlines in advance, understanding that there will be a short turnaround time. Any RUVA impacted proposals started before the upgrade will need to be withdrawn.
If you have any questions, please reach out to osp-infoteam@virgnia.edu or MaryBeth Spaulding, Associate Director of Pre-Award, mas7zt@virginia.edu.
